The MAGUEY Crocheted Face Sponge is handcrafted by a group of artisans in Central Mexico using the same materials and methods that have been in place for generations. The Agave plant, Maguey, is first harvested, with its fibres stripped by hand, before being washed in water and laid in the sun. Once dried, the string fibres are brushed straight over a giant Biznaga Cactus, before being intricately crocheted into a beautiful biodegradable exfoliator. Each sponge purchased helps to support fair pay for local Mexican artisans.
